The engine MF83 comes from the coalmines Monceau-Fontaine at Monceau.
She was made for shunting and had a simple concept.
This engine was the last steam engine to be used by the mines. Was moved to Mariembourg by own means on 24th may 1980.
This machine is property of the CFV3V.

At the end of 2011, the persons in charge of the rolling park of the CFV3V decided to the final retirement of the steam engine MF 83 ...
Its tired mechanics was only a source of nuisances and this engine upset the active members ...
Always problems, unceasingly!

A wise decision was made: GOOD RETIREMENT!
